It's Finally on it's Way!
All of that hard work has finally paid off! The debut CD, "Self-Inflicted Wounds" is set to be released by the end of November. The band is planning several interviews and meet and greets to promote the new project. The CD will be available on CD Baby as well as various online download sites including Rhapsody, I Tunes, and Napster. It will of course also be available at our all upcoming live shows. We're gearing up for this and look forward to seeing you rowdies very soon. As always, we couldn't have done this without you!!! Welcome to the World Reed Sully Robert Saville!
Born on October 20, 2008, weighing in at 8 lbs. 10 oz. is Reed Sully Robert Saville, son of Rob and Tiffany Saville. He's a handsome little shit and even showed proper musician ettiquette prior to his birth! How? He postponed his own birth until after his old man finished laying down guitar tracks for the new CD. What a guy! On a serious note, the band welcomes Reed to the "family" and look forward to watching him grow up to kick ass in a band of his own.
The entire crew of 8 Lives Spent would like to send out a special "thanks" to Billie Spencer of Nostalgic Records. Billie is engineering/mixing our debut CD that will hopefully be released before the end of this year. Bille has been super to work with, and we're all geared up to hear the final results. Thanks again Billie for all your hard work and dedication to this project. Visit the Nostalgic website by clicking here. The Crew Welcomes Ben Saville! 8 Lives Spent welcomes Ben Saville as their full-time sound guru. Ben is the brother of guitarist Rob Saville and recently joined us at our gig at the Virginia Brewing Company. Ben not only stepped up to the plate with very little time to prepare, he went above and beyond the call of duty and made our job a piece of cake. Ben also ran sound for openers DV8. During the show we had several comments on how perfect the sound mix was and this was the guy's first day on the job!!! So, needless to say, we have a new addition to the band. Nope he's not a sound guy...he's a member of the band (as it should be). Ben, if you're reading this, you kicked ass brother and we are certainly grateful to have you in our ranks. |

Rezonate 08 Festival
Thanks to the crew of Rezonate 08 for your great hospitality. In fact, we'd like to thank everyone that we met in Ohio...you made us feel right at home. Special recognition goes out to Amber and Brian that pulled this entire event together and to the crew of Class X Radio for having us in for an interview. For those of you who didn't know about Rezonate 08, this event was a benefit show for the kids of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Proceeds will go to supply backpacks and other needed necessities. If you would like to donate or learn more about this great organization visit their web site at http://pineridgemission.blogspot.com/ |

And the winner is...
Congrats to Charles and Angelica Brinklow who won the Dean Bass recently raffled off at the Frederick County Fair. All proceeds will be donated to Backpacks for Pine Ridge, a non-profit group based in Ohio that supplies school supplies and other needed items to the families of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Special recognition also goes out to bassist Joe Jones for not only coming up with the idea, but also providing the guitar out of his own pocket. That was very cool! 8 Lives Spent will be teaming up with this organization on August 16 to play in Rezonate 08, a benefit concert for the same cause. Special thanks to "Squirrel" and Jamie James of "Last Chance"
The crew of 8 Lives Spent would like to personally thank Jamie James of Last Chance (left) and the infamous "Squirrel" (right) for providing sound at our recent Frederick County Fair show. These guys worked their asses off and were then limited to a 5-minute sound check! Needless to say, they pulled it off and did an excellent job and we greatly appreciate it!!! |

Distorted and Self-Inflicted Wounds is Blowing Us Away! Check out the 104.9 Song Promo... A few weeks ago we were interviewed by Ron at Rock 104.9/105.5 and played the acoustic version of Distorted (see below). Since then we have recorded the song and was invited back into the studio for a follow up interview. Shortly after the song aired the calls came pouring in to the point that the station featured the song all day (click here to hear the 104.9 promo). In addition our MySpace page and Reverb Nation pages jumped by thousands of hits so, needless to say, we were blown away by the responses and want to again thank everyone at the station (especially Jess and Ron) for their continued support. We'd of course like to also thank you guys for calling in. Your support means a lot to us! |

First and foremost, we would like to thank everyone who participated in the Fox Rocks DC voting. The polls closed @ 11:59 P.M. and unless there is a recount it appears that 8 Lives Spent finished in 2nd place out of over 100 bands. This is still an incredible feeling to us, it lets us know that you guys like our music and are supporting us. There are many people to thank, in fact too many for us to list individually. You guys have amazed us with all the support and love you have thrown our way. Thank you each and everyone once again for supporting us. |
